About
What this tool does
This image converter changes a file's format without sending it anywhere. Convert PNG to WebP to shrink a page's weight, JPG to PNG to keep crisp edges in a screenshot, WebP to PNG for a tool that does not accept WebP, or any raster to SVG for a workflow that expects a vector container.
The output size is calculated as you change the format or quality, so you can decide between a 90% WebP and an 80% WebP with the number in front of you. PNG is always lossless. JPG flattens transparency onto white. WebP keeps transparency and is usually the smallest at the same visual quality.
SVG output wraps the image in a vector file; it does not trace a photo into shapes. That is useful for design tools and CMSs that only accept SVG, but a raster inside an SVG is still a raster. Everything happens in the browser, so the file is never uploaded and there is no size cap beyond your device's memory.

Questions
- WebP at 80–90% is usually the smallest for both photos and screenshots. PNG is the largest but lossless, which matters for UI and text.
