    How it works

    1. 01

      Add an image

Drop, paste or choose a file. The original size is filled in for you.

    2. 02

      Set the size

Type a width or height, or use a preset such as 50% or 1200 wide. The lock keeps the proportions.

    3. 03

Pick PNG, JPG or WebP. Downscaling uses high-quality smoothing so edges stay crisp.

    About

    What this tool does

An image resizer that works in pixels, in your browser. Most resize tools either upload your file or hide the numbers behind sliders. This one shows the width and height, lets you type exact values, and resizes locally on a canvas with high-quality smoothing.

Keep the aspect ratio locked to scale a photo for the web, a 1200-pixel Open Graph image, or a 50% retina export. Unlock it when a specific box is required, such as a 1080 × 1080 post or a banner. Choose PNG for screenshots and graphics with flat color or transparency, JPG for photographs, and WebP when file size matters most.

Resizing is for changing dimensions. If you only need to trim the edges, use the crop tool and keep the original pixels. If you need the image framed, on a background or inside a device, open it in the editor.

    Questions

Downscaling with the high-quality mode keeps edges clean. Upscaling cannot invent detail, so enlarging far beyond the original will look soft, as it does in any tool.
